DIY Get Well Cleanse
It is inevitable that at some point we will all compromise our immune systems and get sick. Whether it is from drinking too much alcohol, being exposed to someone with a current illness, or stressing out, we put our bodies into vulnerable positions on a regular bases.
When I feel I am about to get sick, or am trying to fight off an illness I create this tincture to boost my immune system and supply a natural course of antibodies.
Tincture:
1 glass of warm water
1/2 Lemon Squeezed
2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
5-6 drops Oil of Oregano
Turmeric has been used medicinally by the Chinese and Indians for thousands of years as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever, with comparable relief to that of Motrin
Oil of Oregano is a special medicinal herb near and dear to my heart. It can cure UTI's and other bacterial infections, acts as a fever reducer, and my personal favorite, can reduce acne caused by bacterial infections. Take when needed, but similar to a prescription anti-biotic, it is not meant for everyday use, just when a problem arrises.
Lemon water helps increase your digestive abilities especially on an empty stomach. Your body only has the ability to do two out of three things to the best of it's ability at a time: heal, digest, or activate. You can heal your body while you are active or going through REM sleep, but you can't digest at the same time. There is only so much expendable energy your body has to fight off foreign invaders. Take lemon water daily for added energy and to maintain proper bodily functions, and create a tincture with your lemon water, when you are in need of a little boost.
Ideally you want to drink this beverage through a straw to minimize wear on your enamel.
