Skin Care is the New Makeup
GLOSSIER
This new beauty brand is founded on the principals that skin care is mandatory and makeup is a choice. They are correct. We too often focus on how to cover up our blemishes or bronze our pale skin, instead of focusing on the root cause, our diet and our skin care regimen.
Skin is the largest organ in the human body and one that protects all other organs, as well as filters toxins in the body similar to the kidney's function. Toxins are everywhere. Most commonly found in our food, our beauty products, and the air. The more you limit your exposure to toxins, the less work your skin has to do by excreting the toxins out of the body often seen in redness, acne, color or in sweat.
A plant based diet limits your intake of these toxins as meat and dairy are extremely carcinogenic. Most people think that being vegetarian alone will limit your exposure to toxins. On the contrary, studies have shown that being vegetarian only improves your overall health by a small percentage, but removing dairy from your diet vastly improves all functions in the human body as intaking natural cow breast milk with growth hormones and antibiotics causes inflammation and congestion in the body.
Second to your diet is your regimen. Glossier is a natural, toxin-free skin care and beauty line. It is uber hydrating and applies well. I tried the coconut hydrating balm and boy brow. The balm dot com is actually the bomb dot com. It is a thick salve that you can use on any place with moderate to severe dryness. Although I loved the balm, the boy brow is too die for. It is hands down the best brow product I have used, organic or not. Eyebrows frame your entire face and make or break a person's other features. The boy brow, gives lush Cara eyebrows while maintaining a cleaned groomed look. It applies with ease from a dipped coming brush into a moisturizing tinted creme and looks incredible. Glossier's makeup products are light and feel like additional moisturizing products instead of drying traditional makeup.
Overall they are a must buy!
